Natashja Treveton - Director (March - Sept 2010)/Early Childhood Educator

I have been at Woodrising Community Preschool and Child Care Centre since 2002 and am currently the Director of the centre. I gained a Diploma of Community Services in 2004 and am working towards a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood). I'm extremely passionate about early childhood education, particularly outdoor play and connecting children with the natural world. I am a dedicated advocate for children and strongly believe in children’s rights to enjoy childhood and learn through their play. I have been instrumental in implementing most of the centre's environmental and cultural programs and was the driving force to get our OOSH up and running!

At present I work part time and adores the children I am working with. I come from a large family, have always been around young children and have a fun loving and playful nature. I am currently focusing on training related to special education which I love. I am also very passionate about music (you will often see me singing and dancing madly with the children!) and dedicate a lot of time to make music and dance a regular part of the routine at the centre.
I am also a mum to 3 amazing children who always inspire me with their creativity and adventures!
